The Summit Gallery of Fine Art, located in the historic Cascade dance hall, exhibits photography and glass blown by many of Canada’s premier artists. The gallery is dedicated to presenting the finest painting, sculpture and photography and is comprised of an inspiring collection of though-provoking art.

Archeological Sites in Banff National Park

The valleys, passes and mountainous areas that make up Banff National Park have been used for over 10,000 years by early humans. As of 2004, 766 archaeological sites have been discovered in Banff, including 416 aboriginal sites and 309 historic sites. Each site has contained traces of past human activity such as arrowheads, tools, or historic structures.

Lake Louise

Lake Louise is a small village located 57 kilometres (35 mi) west of the Town of Banff inside Banff National Park. Known as Canada's "Diamond in the Wilderness," and the "Hiking Capital of Canada", Lake Louise offers outdoor lovers a great deal of recreational and signseeing opportunities. Known to be one of North America's best downhill ski facilities, Lake Louise is a popular winter destination. During the summer months, the area offers unparalleled wildlife viewing, spectacular alpine scenery, and numerous hiking trails.

Cumberland Heritage Village Museum

Cumberland Heritage Village Museum is located 30 minutes east of downtown Ottawa and 10 minutes away from Rockland.  The Museum consists of 28 buildings on 25 hectares in the village of Cumberland. The Cumberland Heritage Village Museum explores village and rural life in the Lower Ottawa Valley between 1890 and 1930.
