Waterton Lakes National Park

Waterton Lakes National Park is Canada’s fourth national park located in the southwest corner of Alberta, Canada and is operated by Parks Canada. The park was formed in 1895 and contains 505 km2 (195 sq mi) of rugged mountains and wilderness.

Wood Buffalo National Park

Wood Buffalo National Park is located in northeastern Alberta and southern Northwest Territories. The park was established in 1922 to protect the free-roaming bison herds of the area. Wood Buffalo National Park is the largest national park in Canada at 44,807 km 2 protecting the last remaining herds of bison and is the only known nesting site of whooping cranes in northern Canada.
