Rocky Mountain House

Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site of Canada protects the archaeological remains of fur trading posts while presenting the site’s history.  In 1799 the North West and Hudson’s Bay companies set up rival posts and the end of the fur trade line on the North Saskatchewan River. 

Bar U Ranch

The Bar U Ranch is one of the first and most enduring large corporate ranches of the West and is set in the rolling Porcupine Hills and the towering Rocky Mountains.  The Ranch commemorates the history and importance of ranching in Canada.
 

Royal Tyrrell Museum

The Royal Tyrrell Museum is dedicated to the study of palaeontology. Located in the heart of the badlands, 6km (4mi) northwest of Drumheller, Alberta, in Midland Provincial Park, the museum and it's surrounding badlands has much to offer.

Dinosaur Provincial Park

Roar! Located approximately two hours east of Calgary lies Dinosaur Provincial Park, a 75-million year old UNESCO World Heritage Site where some of the most extensive dinosaur fossil fields in the world lie. The land here is much different than the Alberta prairie grasslands. Here visitors enter a new world of hoodoos, coulees, buttes, and pinnacles.
