Professor's Lake

What was once a 100 acre sand & gravel pit that opened in 1918 is now known as Professor's Lake in Brampton, Ontario. Today, the Professor's Lake complex is a 65 acre spring fed lake used for sailing, windsurfing, fishing and it's beach. During the summer months, the area is used for volleyball, tennis, swimming and hiking. During the winter, it's a mecca for ice-skating and snow hiking.

Twin Valley Zoo

The Twin Valley Zoo in Brantford, Ontario is built on 25 acres and is a fantastic place to view native and exotic animals in a natural setting.

Some of the animals on display at the Twin Valley Zoo include Black Swans, Wallaby, Red Kangaroos, Baboons, Lions, Nile Monitors, Zebras, Tigers, Black Bears, Wolves, Cougars, and much more.

Toronto Botanical Gardens

The Toronto Botanical Garden offers an array of 12 award-winning themed gardens spanning nearly four acres, designed to educate and inspire.

Beachway Park & Pavilion

The Beachway Park Pavilion and multi-use trails provide a 2 km. route from Spencer Smith Park in Burlington to the canal. The pavilion provides change rooms, outdoor showers, seasonal concession facilities featuring the Snack Shack and year round washrooms. Amenities at the beach include the pavilion, parking, a pay phone, a playground, and lots of sun, sand and water.
