Northern Ontario Railroad Museum and Heritage Centre

The Museum House

Our museum comes in 2 convenience parts- the main building, which used to be the home of the Canadian National Superintendent and a large full scale railway exhibit on the grounds. In the building we have rooms devoted to railways, mining, forestry and heritage of the region, as well as a tea room and gift shop.

Rayside-Balfour Museum

Located inside the Chelmsford Library and Citizen Service Centre, the Rayside-Balfour Museum is not very big. What it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in charm and history. The Rayside-Balfour Museum contains several artifacts that showcase life in the area and it's agricultural influence.
