Vuntut National Park

Vuntut National Park is a national park established in 1995. The park encompasses 4,345. Sq. km of wilderness in the northwestern corner of the Yukon, Canada. Vuntut National Park is adjacent to another Canadian National Park, Ivvavik National Park. Also, the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge lies just across the border in Alaska, USA.

Ancient Voices Wilderness Camp

Ancient Voices Wilderness Camp is a true representation of the First Nation's traditional way of life. This unique tourist destination is located 27 miles from Dawson City up the Yukon River. It's a great destination for a day trip or even an overnight/weekend for anyone who wants a unique and unforgetable expererience. Activities at the wilderness camp include learning the techniques to tan hides, preparing and smoking fish and wild game, using local plants and herbs in cooking and medicine, and much more. For the artistic type there is plenty of opportunities to experience and learn about traditional First Nation's arts and crafts.

Pan for Gold at Claim #6

What better way to experience Yukon then to pan for gold in the creek that launched the biggest gold rush the world has ever known. Registered October 1896, Claim #6 is 18km from downtown Dawson City and about half a mile upstream from the famous discovery claim that prompted the Klondike gold rush.

Danoja Zho Cultural Centre
