Ancestral Park

Ancestral Park is located on Île d'Orléans next to The House of our Forefathers and is a publicly accessible green space dedicated to the original families of the island. Each year, Ancestral Park plays home to celebrations for the descendants of the 300 original families of Île d'Orléans as well as a gathering place for the community of Sainte-Famille. Visitors to the park have access to benches and picnic tables where they can admire the majestic views of the mighty St. Lawrence River.
In addition, Ancestral Park hosts the Canadian Families' Memorial where the names of the families who first inhabited and build on the l'île d'Orléans can be found.
