The Assiniboine Park Zoo is contained within Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg. This highly regarded zoo spans over 90 acres and offers visitors enounters with over 1200 animals from 275 different species. One of the largest zoos in Canada, the Assiniboine Park Zoo attractions include a Discovery Center, a petting zoo, and an indoor learning park. In the Winter months, the zoo provides a special 'Lights of the Wild' display around Christmas time.
