Atlantic Salmon Museum
The Atlantic Salmon Museum is located on the banks of the Main South West Miramichi River in the Village of Doaktown. The Museum, through its many interpretive displays, shows the life and history of the Atlantic salmon.
The Museum holds an extensive collection of artifacts connected with the salmon. They have displays of many of the different types of artificial flies, fly fishing rods, from wooden, bamboo, to carbon filament, and all the various types of clothing and accessories that were used through the years.
The museum has a Salmon Hall of Fame as well as the Print Gallery which includes signed, numbered prints. At the museum you will be able to explore the virtual world of the Atlantic salmon. For the kids there is an educational program that teaches your people casting, fly-taping and fishing.
