Banff Gondola

Banff Gondola is a Swiss built Wallmansberger gondola consisting of 40 enclosed steel cars that seat 4 passengers each. The gondola, located just 5 minutes from the Town of Banff, ascends visitors 698m (2,292 feet) to the top of Sulpher Mountain at a speed of 10 feet per second. The 8 minute ride offers visitors fantastic views of the mountain and the scenery below.
Upon reaching the upper terminal (7,486 feet above sea level), visitors have access to the many sites and attractions located on Sulpher Mountain - a unique complex of restaurants, gift shops and observation decks. This trip is a must do for anyone visiting Banff. It's best enjoyed on a clear day.
