Battle of the Chateauguay Historic Site

The Battle of the Chateauguay took place on October 26, 1813 and resulted in an important victory against the invading American forces. Located along the Chateauguay river about 50km southwest of Montréal, this National Historic Site of Canada offers visitors a look back into the militia past and the defense of Canada.

Throughout the year, several events take place at the Battle of the Chateauguay site including military re-enactments and archaeological discovery rallies.
