The BC Wine Museum
The BC Wine Museum was opened in 1996 and is located in Kelowna, British Columbia. The BC Wine Museum showcases the history and culture of the grape and wine industry in British Columbia. The Museum displays wine-making equipment, labels, historic bottles, artifacts from the rich history of viticulture and wine making – Etruscan, Greek and Chinese – while local Okanagan artifacts and exhibitions explore the history of the region.
The BC Wine Museum is the home of the British Columbia Wine Label Awards, held every year in conjunction with the Okanagan Fall Wine Festival. The Wine Label Awards recognizes wineries from across the province for their excellence in design and ingenuity in wine label design and presentation.
The BC Wine Museum located in Kelowna’s historic Laurel Packinghouse, offers guests the opportunity to take part in WEST, the Wine Education Series of Tastings offered every spring and fall. WEST is a series of informative wine seminars designed to combine the natural elements of food and wine in an interactive, fun, and casual atmosphere. The Wine Museum offers a wide selection of British Columbia V.Q.A. wines from wines from wineries throughout the province.
