The Beaconsfield Historic House was built in 1877 for James Peake, Jr., a wealthy shipbuilder and merchant. This elegant home has twenty-five rooms, eight fireplaces and imported chandeliers. Beaconsfield was a visible expression of Peake’s Victorian elegance.
The house is open to public for tours, lectures, and hosts special events. Visitors are welcome to tour its Victorian furnished rooms.
