Butlers Barracks

Butler's Barracks National Historic Site is a two-storey building known as the soldier's barracks located in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The building was built between 1817 and 1821. On the site are five original buildings from 150 years of military operations that you can explore along the landscaped grounds. This site has been used by the military since the late 1790s and was an important training camp for the militia during World War I and World War II. Also located in Butler's Barracks on the Commons is the Lincoln and Welland Regiment Museum.
