Canadian Automotive Museum

The Canadian Automotive Museum is located in Oshawa, Ontario.  The museum opened in 1961 and tells the Canadian story of the automotive industry.  The Canadian Automotive Museum is housed in a 25,000 sq ft building that was originally a 1920’s car dealership.

The Canadian Automotive features motor car and associated motor parts, the development of engineering skills and design craftsmanship in building automobiles from 1770 to present time.  Visitors can see automobile exhibits with artifacts displayed which consists of motorcycles, bicycles, trucks, pianos, tools, musical instruments, radios, televisions, and photos on display, relating to the periods of the cars are used throughout the building.  On display at the museum are vehicles from many other countries such as Rolls Royce, Morris Amphicar, Ahrens-Fox, and Reo.  Many of the cars on showcase are not made in Canada but have contributed to the development of the auto in Canada.
