The Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre previously Morden and District Museum currently houses the largest collection of marine reptile fossils in Canada.  The museum is located in Morden, Manitoba in the lower level of the Morden Recreational Complex.  The Museum also houses numerous specimens of the Cretaceous squid Tusoteuthis longa; these specimens represent the northern most known occurrence of these molluscs in the Cretaceous seas of North America.

Visitors can see “Bruce” a 43 ft Mosasaur fossil, the second largest in North America.   The Museum offers dig programs and guided tours where you will be guided through the gallery and learn about Manitoba’s geological past. The tour guides provide an informative glimpse into the Western Interior Seaway describing the sea creatures that would have roamed this area. The museum has a large database of research information pertaining to the fossil collection from the Late Cretaceous Period.
