Canadian Museum of Nature

The Canadian Museum of Nature is an institution comprised of specialists in a variety of areas including research, education, multimedia, and history. Due to it's broad range of talent, the museum has become more than simply a natural history museum - it has become a vibrant educational experience for visitors of all ages.

The museum offers several exhibits and collections including:

  • Fossils
    In the Talilsman Energy Fossil Gallery, visitors are given a unique look into the events that unfolded to lead to the extinction of dinosaurs and the rise of mamnals - a period of time that lasted over 50 million years.
     
  • Birds
    The Canadian Museum of Nature's Bird Gallery displays the largest collection of Canadian birds in the world. This indoor bird-watching adventure provides visitors a close look at over 450 species of birds.
     
  • Mammals
    In the Mammal Gallery, visitors can get up close and personal with real specimens of Canadian mammals including moose, bison, cougars, grizzly bears, and more.
