Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area

The Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area is recognized as an internationally important wetland that is located on the northern shore of the St. Lawrence River. The area is home to more than 45 species of mammals, 300 species of birds, and over 700 species of plants.
Upon arrival to Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area, visitors should proceed directly to the Interpretation Centre which serves as a starting point to discover the variety of activities available at Cap Tourmente. Activities at the area include birdwatching, over 20km of natural hiking trails, picnic areas, and wildlife viewing.
For the more adventurous, there is an observation post located on the edge of a 150m high cliff which provides scenic views of the entire Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area.
