Located just off Highway 11 North in Cochrane, The Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat is a non-profit conservation facility open to visitors 365 days a year.

The only polar bear rehabilitation facility in the world, the habitat rescues bears from sub-standard zoos, circuses, and those injured in the wild. Visitors are able to view these magnificant bears as they become rehabilitated in the 5 acre natural enclosures while learning about preservation and protection of these animals.

For the more adventurous, the Habitat offers a wading pool where visitors can swim right next to the polar bears! Don't worry, a very very thick window separates the two of you!

In addition to the Habitat, the facility is also home to the Hunta Museum Heritage Village which offers two great attractions at one location.
