Columbia Icefield Glacier Experience

The Columbia Icefield Glacier Experience is a full day tour from Banff to the Columbia Icefield.  It reveals the most unique attraction in the Canadian Rockies. Tours depart every 15-30 minutes from the Icefield Centre on the Icefields Parkway.

Brewster Ice Explorers are specially designed for glacial travel.  Your driver/guide will take you on a 90 minute excursion onto the surface of the Athabasca Glacier, and will explain how glaciers are formed and their impact on our environment as well as pointing out interesting geological features.  Mid-point in the tour, passengers have the option of stepping out onto the glacier and stand on the ice.

After your ride, there is time to visit the Glacier Gallery, restaurant or gift shop at the Icefields Centre.
