The Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum is dedicated to preserving the history of the airmen who trained and served the air war of 1939-1945. What started with only 4,000 members of the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1939 quickly grew to over 250,000 members by 1943 of which many were trained in Manitoba.
The Commonwealth Air Training Plan trained personnel from all over the world including Canada, England, Australia and New Zealand and was referred to by Winston Churchill as Canada’s greatest contribution to the allied victory.
