The Dawson City Museum has the largest and most important historic collection in the Yukon. Exhibits on display include First Nations, the gold rush, three Klondike Mines Railway locomotives, geology, pre-history, and life in Dawson City - past and present.

The Dawson City Museum is housed in the beautiful Old Territorial Administration Building National Historic Site, one of the premier heritage attractions in the Yukon. The museum is also home to the Klondike History Library that helps visitors trace their ancestors time in the Klondike.

The museum offers daily “miner’s meetings” that give visitors a taste of Yukon justice at the turn of the century while rockerbox and gold pouring demonstrations introduce visitors to the realities of gold mining. During these interesting interactive demonstrations, costumed interpreters help bring the collection to life.
