Discovery Harbour is an historic site situated on beautiful Penetanguishene Bay. It's the homport to the historic replica ships ships HMS Bee and HMS Tecumseth. Discovery Harbour dates back to the original Penetanguishene British naval and military base built as a result of the War of 1812. Originally titled "His Majesty's Naval Establishment on Lake Huron", the base was an important location to supply British posts to the northwest.
Visitors can take part in daily activities and tours. Walk along the shoreline boardwalks to watch an evening sunset overlooking Penetanguishene Bay. Eat at Captain Robert's Table. Watch great summer shows and entertainment throughout the year in the on-location King Wharf Theatre. Discovery Harbour is worth the visit for those wishing to re-live the days in 1812 history.
