Downtown Burlington/Historical Walking Tours

Downtown Burlington Ontario is a day-tripper’s paradise. Visitors can shop in the many clothing, gift and specialty stores throughout the downtown area. They can also choose from a great variety of international restaurants and cafés ranging from casual/fine dining to fast food.
In addition to shopping and dining, visitors to Downtown Burlington can experience some history. The Burlington Historical Society has established a self-guided walking tour of the downtown area showcasing historic homes, churches and businesses (http://tourismburlington.com/pdf/Walking%20Tour%20of%20Downtown%20Burlin...).

The Waterfront at downtown Burlington is just steps away along the shores of Lake Ontario. Visitors can stroll past the cherry blossoms in spring, play in the Dofasco Waterjet Plaza and sail model sailboats in the summer, enjoy beautiful colours in the fall and skate on the Rotary Centennial Pond during the winter.
