Dow's Lake is a small man-made lake on the Rideau Canal in Ottawa situated near Carleton University in Commissioner's Park. The site is used for a variety of social  events such as the annual Tulip Festival in May. During the winter, Dow's Lake freezes over and becomes part of the world's largest skating rink along the Rideau Canal as well as being the primary site for the Winterlude Festival.

At the north end of Dow's Lake lies a pavilion which houses two restaurants with fantastic views of the water. The pavilion also offers visitors access to canoe and paddle boat rentals so that they may enjoy the lake.

For those with cars or bikes, Dow's Lake has two scenic drives that wind along either side of the water. The Colonel By Drive, which runs on the south side of the lake, and the Queen Elizabeth Driveway which runs to the north and west. Both drives offer magnificant views of the lake and surrounding area.
