Elba Wetlands Conservation Area
One of the tributaries of the Nottawasaga River, the Elba Wetlands is dedicated to conservation purposes. Visitors will have the opporunity to view the wildlife in the area including deer, minks, muskrats, beavers, raptors, hawks, herons and more. In addition, the area is considered critical to the spawning of brook trout in the region.
The Elba Wetlands can be reached via Highway 89 east of Shelburne to the Mono Amaranth Townline; south for 5 km. A large sign on the right side of road marks the enterance to the area.
