Fisgard Lighthouse

The first permanent lighthouse on Canada's west coast, Fisgard Lighthouse was built in 1860 and to this day remains an important landmark for Canada. Now a National Historic Site of Canada, Fisgard Lighthouse offers visitors historic exhibits and a video station inside the former keeper's house. The landmark and surrounding site is also a popular destination for photographers who appriciate the magesty of Fisgard Lightouse and the Washington State's scenic Olympic Mountains in the background.

5 minutes from the Fisgard Lighthouse along the ocean drive within the Esquimalt lagoon is the Coast Collective Art Gallery in a 1920 mansion at oceans edge. we have over 100 local artist gift shop to poke around looking for very unique treasures and gifts along with new juried art shows avery 2 to 3 weeks. We offer a great variety of classes and workshops and out door events through out the summer including local food music and art. 3221 Heatherbell Rd. 391-5522 thur to sun
