Fort Battleford

Fort Battleford National Historic Site is located in the town of Battleford, 153km northwest of Saskatoon. It was constructed as a North West Mounted Police post in 1876. This historic location showcases the role of the North West Mounted Police in the Canadian West. The fort was established in 1876 and abandoned in 1924 but now offers tourists the chance to enjoy five original buildings with period furniture.
