The Greater Vancouver Zoo started to become what it is today back in 1999 after a lengthly past spanning over 40 years. Although it's history was that of a game farm, the Greater Vancouver Zoo now focuses it's efforts on conservation and is actively involved in several wildlife recovery programs. One such program is the Oregon Spotted Frog Recovery Program which has shown considerable success.
Currently, the zoo supports exhibits featuring grizzly bears, mountain sheep, arctic wolves, camels, giraffes, hipps, reptiles, exotic birds, and much more.
