Huronia Museum

Guests at the Huronia Museum can explore longhouses, play a naïve game, and see a sweat lodge and a shaman’s hut as they looked five and six hundred years ago. The Huronia Museum features galleries of contemporary art of Georgian Bay, native art and archaeological collections of the Ouendat and Ojibway First nations, as well as feature exhibits on Georgian Bay lighthouse, shipwrecks and marine heritage.
The Gallery of Historic Huronia feature’s the work of W.J. Wood and Franz Johnston, Thor Hansen’s work and a major exhibition of artifacts pertaining to the Huron Ouendat people.
The Huronia Museum operates year round and contains a collection of nearly a million objects and entertains 20,000 visitors annually.
