The Joseph Schneider Haus Museum and Gallery is a historic farmhouse built by one of the area's first pioneers, Joseph Schneider. Located in downtown Kitchener, this local landmark built in 1816 is Kitchener's oldest dwelling. Today the farmhouse has been fully restored and furnished to period to serve as a living history museum. Since the 1850's, a lot has since changed. The original 448 acre now occupies less than an acre and Victoria Park occupies the land where Joseph's sawmill once stood.
