This park was HORRIBLE!! My boyfriend & I went camping there last weekend & ended up only staying one night because of the crazy wind storm that happened ALL NIGHT! My boyfriend's parents came to visit us for the day & they had to stay the night with us because the wind was so strong they didn't feel comfortable driving in it. The worst part of the trip was the wind BREAKING the back windows of both my boyfriend's truck & his dad's truck!!! (Not to mention the damage from all the sand pounding agaist the vehicles all night, the paint missing on the back tail gates & scratched mirrors) The wind also picked up our table that had a bbq on it & a huge jug of water & THREW the table & everything on it across the camp site!! We also saw a tree fall down & multiple branches being ripped from trees. One of the outhouse roofs blew off & there was garbage everywhere the next day from the wind knocking over garbage cans. Everything is chained down (the picnic tables, outhouses, garbage cans...) we figured so bears or other animals wouldn't move them... Now we know it's because of the ridiculous wind storms!!! I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PARK FOR CAMPING!!! When we told the park ranger the next day what happened he just acted like it was nothing & still made us pay for the one night we spent there. He said it didn't happen often, yet there were other people walking along the beach that lived there & they told us it happens almost every night & they have also had windows break from the wind. Again, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PARK FOR CAMPING!!! The wind starts up around 5-6 pm so LEAVE before then!!!

I give this park 0 stars!
