Kitsilano Beach

World renouned and one of the most popular beaches in Vancouver, Kitsilano Beach is not just a sandy shore but an entire beach community. The shores of Kitsilano Beach meet the waters of Burrard Inlet on the north edge of the Kitsilano neighbourhood. It is lifeguarded between Victoria Day and Labour Day.
In addition to the beach, the area also offers visitors a large playground, concessions, basketball courts, volleyball courts, tennis courts and the longest swimming pool in Canada. The Kitsilano Pool is an outdoor salt-water pool operated by the Vancouver Park Board during the summer months.
The neighbourhood surrounding Kitsilano Beach is comprised of a mainly younger population in their 20s to 30s and is home to many trendy condos, shops, and restaurants. The Watermark Restaurant is known as having one of the best views in the city.
