Lawrencetown Beach

Lawrencetown Beach is located about 30 minutes from downtown Halifax and is renowned by local and international surfers for it's surfing conditions. Lawrencetown Beach is a provincial park and supervised by lifeguards during the summer months.
Lawrencetown Beach offers a range of facilities including free parking, washrooms, showers, and picnic facilities. The area is a favorite for hikers and mountain bikers for it's great beachside trail system and boardwalk. The beach is host to many activities and events throughout the summer including the September Storm Classic surfing contest, the annual Cyclesmith Duathlon or the Kite Festival.
Lawrencetown Beach is definitely one of the jewels of the Halifax area and Nova Scotia.
