Long Beach

Long Beach is located between Tofino and Uclueleton on the west coast of Vancouver Island inside the Pacific Rim National Park. Due to it's western exposure, Long Beach has become a favorite spot for windsurfers and it's one of only a few locations on Vancouver Island where there is a strong surfing community. Home to the only surf camp in Canada, Long Beach offers both children and adults the opportunity to learn how to surf from trained instructors.
In addition to it's incredible surfing conditions, Long Beach offers several other outdoor activities including ocean kyaking, wilderness camping, and trail hiking. One popular trail is the 10 km Wickaninnish Trail which runs between the beaches on Wickaninnish and Florencia Bays. Additional information about the many hiking trails in the area can be found at the Wickaninnish Interpretive Centre.
For the more adventurous visitors to Long Beach, the Wild Pacific Trail winds along rugged cliffs and ocean shoreline overlooking the open Pacific Ocean. The first section of the Wild Pacific Trail is a 30-40 minute loop and the trailhead is at Terrace Beach.
