Located just above the Rideau Canal, Major's Hill Park has a rich and interesting history. Established in 1874, Major's Hill Park has been a historical landmark for the Rideau Canal area for over a century. Scattered with towering trees and winding pathways, the park offers visitors a quiet retreat in the middle of the nations capitol.

Visitors to the park can spend the day taking in the sights and the sounds including fantastic views of the Rideau Canal and Ottawa river, Sussex Drive, the National Art Gallery, and even the Parliament Buildings. During the summer, the park is used often for events and festivals including the nation's Canada Day celebrations on July 1st.
