The Muskoka Boat & Heritage Centre located in Gravenhurst, Ontario operates North America's oldest steamship, the Segwun. The Segwun (Royal Mail Ship) has been fully restored and for 145 days out of the year, offers visitors scenic cruises through the pristine Muskoka waters. Still powered by hundred year old coal-fired engines, the Segwun is capable of providing up to 99 passengers a truely unique experience of how life on the water may have been in the 1800s.
In 2001 & 2002, the Segwun was voted "Best Large Attraction" by Attractions Canada.
In addition to the Segwun, the Muskoka Boat & Heritage Centre also offers cruises aboard their other restored ships the Wenonah II and the Wanda III. Supporting larger passenger loads of around 200, these ships can accommodate weddings and coporate events as well as casual scheduled Muskoka cruises.
