Niagara Falls is perhaps the most popular vacation destination in Ontario. Niagara Falls is located on the Niagara River in Western New York and South Eastern Ontario and separates the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of New York. It is comprised of two massive waterfalls, the Horseshoe Falls which is 2600 feet wide and 173 feet high and the American Falls which is 1060 feet wide and 182 feet high.

The Niagara Region also offers visitors countless other options and attractions. On the Canadian side, Queen Victoria Park features beautiful gardens and the observation decks of the Skylon Tower and the Konica Minolta Tower offer the highest views of the Falls. Along the Niagara River, the Niagara River Recreational Trail runs 56 km from Fort Erie to Fort George, and includes several historical sites from the War of 1812. Those with a taste for adventure should try the Whirlpool Aero Car which takes passengers over the whirlpool or the Journey Behind the Falls which features an observation deck and collection of tunnels near the bottom of the Falls. Finally, no trip is complete without a ride on the famous Maid of the Mist boat tours which take visitors closer to the falls than they ever thought possible.

In addition to the Falls based attractions, the Niagara Falls tourist area also offers two casinos, the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort and Casino Niagara. A stroll along Clifton Hill will supply visitors with many "tourist attractions" such as wax museums, theme bars, restaurants, gift shops, and night clubs.
