Memorial Parade

The RCMP Memorial Service is held on the second Sunday in September at the RCMP Academy, “Depot” Division, in Regina. The ceremony begins with a parade at 8:45 a.m. and is followed by a chapel service and a short ceremony at the Memorial Wall in the RCMP cemetery.

Several troops of regular members, auxiliary members, cadets and veterans will parade on Sleigh Square in honour of the RCMP members who have died in the line of duty since the first fallen member in 1876.

The RCMP Memorial Service is an annual event and an enduring tradition that started in the mid-1930s when RCMP members came to Sleigh Square to honour their fallen comrades.

The RCMP Commissioner will be in attendance as well as senior members of the RCMP and members of the fallen officers' families.

The public and media are welcome to attend.
