The Region of Peel Museum is considered one of the finest mid-size museums in the province. The museum features collections and exhibits related to the history of the region including family treasures and tools that were hand made by the area's settlers.

The museum is part of the Peel Heritage Complex which is housed in what was once the County Jail. In 1977, the Jail was closed and renovated to create the complex which also contains the Art Gallery of Peel and the Region of Peel Archives.

Reading the Februay-March issue of The Beaver magazine about the Peel Museum telling the story of your region's early inhabitants is very interesting. I have an article and some pictures of "The Quilt of Belonging', Canada's largest, most comprehensive textile art project. It is the collaborative work of cultural groups from across Canada.

If you are interested, I will send your Museum what information I have on this quilt.

Yours truly,

Inge
