The Rideau Canal is a grouping of beautiful lakes, rivers and canals that span over 200 km starting in Kingston, Ontario and ending in Ottawa. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Rideau Canal is Canada's most historic and is now operated and maintained by Parks Canada.

During the Spring and Summer months, activites along the Rideau Canal include paddling the calm waters, cycling or hiking along it's shoreline or relaxing by the lift locks and watching the hundreds of boats as they move from one body of water to the next.

In the Winter, the canal freezes over and public skating is available by the Parliament Buildings.
