Rondeau Provincial Park is Ontario’s second oldest Provincial Park.  Rondeau's Carolinian forests are home to such southern species as Tulip-tree, Sassafras, Virginia Oppossum, Yellow-breasted Chat and welcomes breeding Prothonotary Warblers, an endangered bird in Canada.  Rondeau Provincial Park is unique in the amount of the rare habitat that it protects – no other provincial park in Ontario holds as much.

Formed by the erosion and deposition of sand and gravel, the Rondeau peninsula constitutes one of North America's best examples of a Cuspate Sandspit. The resulting peninsula is now a 3254 ha Natural Environment park, and extends almost 8 km out into Lake Erie, and forms a protected bay. The Rondeau peninsula combined with Rondeau bay, attract migrating birds throughout the spring and fall, resulting in some of the best bird watching in Ontario.

Rondeau offers campers their choice of 262 campsites (152 electrical), all of which are just a short walk from extensive sand beaches and great swimming. There are six hiking trails to explore (one which is wheel-chair accessible), a protected bay for canoeing and boating and excellent fishing opportunities. Join a park naturalist for a hike or evening program, and explore the Visitor Centre which is open year-round. Campground facilities include comfort stations, showers, picnic tables, and a laundry room.

The park is open year-round for day use activities including hiking, skiing, bird watching, canoeing and many other activities; and for camping from April 1st to the last Sunday in October.
