Royal Alberta Museum

One of Canada's most popular museums, the Royal Alberta Museum located in Edmonton showcases the human and natural history of western Canada. The museum is home to many exciting and intersting exhibits including the largest collection of mounted birds in Canada and a rare excavation of a fossilized prarie dog colony.
The Royal Alberta Museum's collection of over 11 million objects is divided into several categories including Biodiversity Studies, Cultural Studies, Landscape Studies, and Collections Services. Each category is home to several types of artifacts including the Mammalogy collection of more than 12,000 specimens or the Ethnology collection of 17,000 artifacts from around the world. One collection guaranteed to attract attention from all visitors is the Bug Room - an invertebrate gallery - The first of it's kind in western Canada.
The Royal Alberta Museum is a top attraction for the Edmonton region and it's massive collection makes it a must visit.
