Stone: A Print Exhibit by Susan Crack
Stone features 20 prints chosen from a group of paintings inspired by petroglyphs and cave paintings from around the globe. Artists Susan Crack originally developed the ink versions as companions to a series of narrative poems written by her husband and fellow artist, Richard Crack. Susan added a limited range of warm browns and golden colour to the paintings, which were scanned and printed as ink-jet prints. The Stone series isn't meant to be an archaeological or anthropological commentary, but a personal exploration of these compelling ancient images.
