The Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary spans 9,000 hectares of land and is home to over 200 species of birds. Established in 1961 by the St. Lawrence Parks Commission, the sanctuary now offers visitors 8km of hiking trails, 5km of cross-country skiing trails, camping, canoeing, and outdoor education programs and special events.
Don't forget your camera! The self-guided nature trails will get you right up-close and personal with waterfowl, raptors, passerines, and other species of birds that are guaranteed to bring a smile to both the seasoned birder and the amatuer naturalists alike.
