St. Jacobs is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Ontario. One of the first observations many make upon their first visit to St. Jacobs is that they feel as if they've gone back in time. The village is the home community of many old order Mennonites who come to town via horse and buggy. Once in the village, visitors are free to enjoy a variety of cultural exhibits, take a leisurely walk along the river trail, take a ride through St. Jacobs aboard the Waterloo Central Railway, or explore one of Canada's largest year-round farmers markets for an fantastic selection of locally-grown produce, foods, arts and crafts.

The St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market and Flea Market features over 500 vendors where there is always something interesting and exciting going on, from auctions to buskers.
