Woodland Cultural Centre
Established in 1972, the purpose of the Woodland Cultural Centre is to promote, interpret, and present the history and heritage of the Anishinaabe and Onkwehon First Nations. Currently home to over 35,000 artifacts, the Woodland Cultural Centre's Museum is one of the largest facilities in Canada that is managed and administered by First Nations. The museums offerings include historical material, furniture, drawings, sculptures, crafts as well as archeological artifacts and contemporary items.
In addition to a year round display, the Woodland Cultural Centre also offers alternating temporary galleries throughout the year as well as special exhibitions, demonstrations, workshops and festivals.
