Woodside House is the boyhood home of William Lyon Mackenzie King, Canada's longest-serving Prime Minister. Now a National Historic Site of Canada, Woodside House has been restored to the Victorian style of the 1890s. Built in 1853, Woodside House was once home to a boy who was destined to become our tenth prime minister. Visitors are free to roam this historic home which has now been reconstructed and restored to represent the period of the Kings' residence, 1886-93. The Woodside property offers 4.65 hectares of gardens, lawn and woodland for photography, picnicking and walking.
