The York-Durham Heritage Railway is located just north of the City of Toronto in Uxbridge. The historic railway offers visitors scheduled trips in historic cars pulled by historic locomotives. The trips last approximately 2.5 hours and travel between Uxbridge, Goodwood, and Stouffville.
Historic cars are pulled by an Alco RS-11 diesel locomotive which was built 1956 and cars include heavyweights built in the early 1900s as well as newer lightweight cars from 1954.
Note: Around Christmas, the York-Durham Heritage Railway offers special "Santa Trips" on their historic trains.
