What are some good things to do or see on a road trip to Maine, PEI, and Nova Scotia?

My parents are traveling to Maine, PEI, and Nova Scotia next month and don't/rarely use the internet to look into things like this. I just wanted to see if anyone has any helpful suggestions for places to visit. I know they are planning on spending a couple days on PEI and a couple days in Nova Scotia. They are also taking the ferry from Nova Scotia to Bar Harbor and will be at Acadia National Park for one day. Any suggestions would be appreciated. :)

Lisa really gave good suggestions, just ask your parents to take proper intake of water and do rest properly this way they can enjoy more, if you are relaxed, other then places to visit check where they are going to stay, its very important to choose proper place which is nearer to places you are planning to visit and must be clean have good food etc:D

In PEI a visit to the National Park is a must. Cavendish is the most popular beach, and a drive along the shore between Cavendish and North Rustico, and between Brackley and Dalvay, is well worth the trip. As well, Greenwich is stunning although it is farther away on the East end of the Island - the dune formations there are something totally unique.
